University of Utah student-athletes receive their choice of a new Jeep or Truck

With this initiative, For The Win 360° is paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable environment for all student-athletes.

The Utah Crimson Collective and its streaming app, Utah 360°, have partnered up to honor the University of Utah’s men’s and women’s basketball and gymnastics teams. In what may be the largest teamwide NIL (Name Image Likeness) agreement in collegiate sports history, student-athletes can choose between receiving a lease for a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L limited edition or a 2024 Ram 1500 big horn truck, complete with the night edition package. For every athlete who qualifies, the offer includes leasing and insurance costs covered by Crimson Collective donors.

Last spring, the Utah Crimson Collective initiated a program to provide cars for student-athletes to use during their respective seasons. Nicole Mouskondis, a former gymnast for the University of Utah and a board member of Crimson Collective, expressed her support for the program, especially for the female student-athletes, stating, “It’s really meaningful for me to support our female student-athletes, as well as our talented young men.”

She added, “We started the Crimson Collective as a way to provide an equal platform to help and unite all student-athletes, demonstrating that their accomplishments and community service are valued equally on and off the field, in addition to providing transportation.”

Under CEO Derek Mattsson’s leadership, For The Win 360° is revolutionizing how collegiate athletics are supported and developed. The Utah 360° streaming app, which played an instrumental role in this historic initiative, has set a new standard by providing sponsors and donors a new avenue to support the students while offering new opportunities for student-athletes. This is especially important for collegiate athletes who have not had the chance to monetize their name, image, and likeness (NIL) until now.

To further enhance support and expand opportunities, Utah 360° has introduced a slate of exclusive content that includes original programming centered on women’s gymnastics and women’s and men’s basketball in conjunction with this historic NIL opportunity.

These programs will be anchored by Utah sports legends and storytellers, such as Missy Marlowe, former women’s gymnastics champion, former Olympian and NCAA gymnastics champion, and currently serves as the ambassador for women’s gymnastics, and Sean Mooney, who serves as the basketball ambassador. With this initiative, For The Win 360° is paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable environment for all student-athletes.
