How Glassman Auto Group took a more digitized approach to the sales process

Recently Cox Automotive chief economist, Jonathan Smoke, and his team gave their third-quarter update and the new car SAAR is now forecasted at 15.5 million units. It’s safe to say that despite everything 2020 has thrown at the industry, auto retail sales are strong. But the question now seems to be, how and where they are happening? On today’s show, we’re pleased to welcome David Barash, finance director at Glassman Auto Group, and Emil Banga, assistant vice president of operations at Dealertrack F&I Solutions.

In this segment, Barash, Banga, and anchor Jim Fitzpatrick first discuss the digital journey at Glassman Auto Group has taken recently, and how the transition has been for its managers and sales staff. Barash then weighs in to explain the staffing and process adjustments he’s made in order to implement a more digitized approach to the sales process.

We then find out whether or not the majority of Banga’s clients at Dealertrack have incorporated their digital processes successfully, and if they are truly embracing the adoption of this new system. He also touches on the technology solutions in the market that play a part in how dealers and lenders put deals together.
