French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire has made a significant move by inviting China's well-known electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer BYD to set up a factory in France. This invitation was made during a meeting with automotive industry leaders and coincides with Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Paris.  The minister's remarks were made while the European Union is investigating whether to impose tariffs on Chinese automakers, including BYD, to protect the domestic auto industry from the effects of heavy state subsidies.
