Meeting Your Customers in Person

Do you know your neighbors? They probably know you. In this tip of the day, David suggests getting out and meeting your neighbors. You never know who is looking for a vehicle.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:

Our Tip of the Day comes from David Kain.

Do you know your neighbors? They probably know you. In this tip of the day, David suggests getting out and meeting your neighbors. You never know who is looking for a vehicle.

I would encourage you to look out the window of your showroom and consider being neighborly. I remember a few years ago that my father said he was at a hospital board meeting, and the president of the hospital walked to the window that was overlooking a neighborhood and said, “We don’t know anyone in these houses, and yet they probably know your customers.” And when you think about the dealership today, we’ve become so digitally focused that we don’t go meet our neighbors.

And yet in the old days, when I was selling cars back at the dealership, and yes, I can call it the old days. I’ve been doing this for 35 years, we would actually be given parts of town and asked to go be neighborly. Take your business cards, take some brochures, and let them know who you are and what you do. I would encourage you to follow that reason and go be neighborly. You’d be surprised at who is looking for a car, and would love to have you visit them today. I’m David Kain with the CBT News Tip of the Day.
