Ed Morse Automotive Group buys two Illinois dealerships

Teddy Morse, Chairman and CEO of Ed Morse Automotive Group, said, "We seized the chance to pursue our expansion into Illinois when it was provided to us."

On May 11, 2023, the Ed Morse Automotive Group announced that it acquired two dealerships in Henry County, Illinois—one in Kewanee and the other in Geneseo.

The dealerships were purchased from George Koustas of Crowe Auto Group, and Scott Mackie of National Business Brokers facilitated the transaction.

The dealerships, formerly known as Crowe Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, and Crowe Ford will now be known as Ed Morse Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, and Ed Morse Ford, respectively.

By joining the company’s numerous Red Bud and additional Athens dealerships and being adjacent to the Muscatine and DeWitt dealerships of Ed Morse Automotive Group in Iowa, these additional locations contribute to the business’ expansion in Illinois.

The Ed Morse Automotive Group has been family-owned for 75 years and maintains its main office in Delray Beach, Florida. With the expansion of 33 employees from these acquisitions, the company’s workforce of over 2,000 will reach 40 stores: 82 franchises and 25 automobile and motorcycle brands.

Teddy Morse, Chairman and CEO of Ed Morse Automotive Group, said, “We seized the chance to pursue our expansion into Illinois when it was provided to us. These two dealerships are ideal examples of our family-owned model since they have devoted staff, a committed clientele, and a growth-ready infrastructure. We look forward to continuing these businesses’ heritage of great bargains and exceptional customer service while helping the neighborhood.”

In addition to Iowa and Illinois, Ed Morse Auto has dealerships and other related businesses in Florida, Texas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. The company is one of the nation’s fastest-growing and most respected automotive and motorcycle dealer groups.
