Jeff Wyler Automotive Family

On November 1, the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family celebrated 50 years in business. Beginning as a modest Chevrolet dealership in Batavia, Ohio, Jeff Wyler has grown to 23 sites and over 40 brands, selling over 45,000 vehicles annually.

As a Cincinnati, Ohio native, Jeff Wyler had a humble upbringing, in which he spent time in the U.S. Army. Then, at 32, he opened his first dealership, Jeff Wyler Chevrolet, in Batavia. Despite having an inventory full of gas-guzzling vehicles, he first started his journey during the Arab oil embargo. However, he was determined to succeed and persevered.

Jeff Wyler was among the first dealers to embrace TV advertising and was a trailblazer from the start. His catchphrase, “Cars like eggs are cheaper in the country,” stuck with Wyler’s dealerships for the years to come. He was also among the first dealers to adopt the idea of the car mall, which allowed customers to select from various brands in one place.

The Jeff Wyler Automotive Family has grown to 23 sites, including Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, and Louisville. As of 2022, the company employed nearly 2,500 people and sold over 45,000 cars. Acknowledged globally as a pioneer in automotive e-commerce, they persistently introduce novel ideas, such as the initial cryptocurrency car transaction in the U.S. and providing the first solution to buy 100% online.

“Our objective is straightforward: in addition to expanding, we want to become more customer-facing. One of our company’s basic values has always been putting the customer’s needs first,” according to Jeff Wyler. “Our crew has worked extremely hard over the past 50 years, and the wonderful customers who have done business with us have rewarded us with growth to 23 sites. They are all a part of our success and the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family.”

Moreover, every year, the Wyler Family Foundation donates more than $1 million to the communities it serves.
