Don HallDeal Struck on White House Stimulus Package
On Tuesday, March 24, 2020, The US government announced that a deal had been struck between the Trump administration and the bipartisan Senate. Valued at more than $2 trillion, the financial aid comes in the form of both tax breaks and spending to stimulate the US economy. A significant portion of the stimulus package will fund measures to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus, although specific details haven’t been fully released as yet. Last week, a letter sent to President Trump and his administration implored for dealership maintenance, repairs, and sales to be considered essential business during the COVID-19 pandemic that’s ravaging nations worldwide. As a result, the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) deemed automotive maintenance and repair locations as essential services that are permitted to remain open under the Transportation Systems Sector.
