On the Dash:
- The Topolino gives select FIAT dealers an entry into the emerging neighborhood EV and micromobility segment.
- Its sub-$15,000 starting price could attract buyers looking for an alternative to golf carts and other low-speed vehicles.
- Dealers may find opportunities in customization, accessories and lifestyle-focused marketing as consumers seek personalized mobility solutions.
Stellantis has opened U.S. orders for the 2026 Fiat Topolino, bringing the all-electric neighborhood vehicle to America as FIAT expands into the fast-growing micromobility segment.
The Topolino starts at $13,995 before destination charges, with a mandatory $990 destination fee bringing the total starting price to $14,985. The vehicle is available in limited quantities through select FIAT dealers.
Unlike traditional passenger vehicles, FIAT designed the Topolino for short-distance travel in neighborhoods, resort communities and other low-speed environments. FIAT says the vehicle offers an alternative to golf carts by combining Italian styling with federally regulated low-speed vehicle capability.
Topolino range, speed & design
A 5.4-kWh lithium-ion battery powers the Topolino, providing up to 46 miles of range and a top speed of 19 mph. A Low Speed Vehicle conversion kit, expected by the end of summer 2026, will raise the maximum speed to 25 mph, allowing owners to drive on public roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or less.
FIAT will offer two versions of the vehicle:
- The enclosed Topolino
- The open-air Topolino Dolcevita
Both feature LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster and vintage-inspired styling, while the Dolcevita replaces conventional doors with rope openings inspired by classic Italian beach vehicles.
The launch marks FIAT’s latest effort to broaden its EV portfolio under Stellantis’ FaSTLAne 2030 strategy. The automaker said it designed the Topolino to meet growing demand for practical, affordable mobility solutions beyond traditional passenger vehicles.
“Topolino represents a new chapter for the brand in the U.S. – defined not just by size, but by purpose,” said FIAT CEO Olivier Francois in a statement. “With Topolino, we bring a feeling, a lifestyle, a reminder that mobility can be joyful, expressive and beautifully simple.”
Customers will also have access to customization options through Motori & Customs, which will offer curated editions and bespoke personalization packages.
The Topolino arrives as FIAT looks to rebuild its presence in the U.S. market. The brand sold roughly 1,300 vehicles in the U.S. last year, and company executives believe the Topolino’s distinctive design, affordable price point and neighborhood-focused utility could help attract new customers.
