Stepping Outside of Your Routine

On today’s CBT News Tip of the Day, Mark Tewart shares a tip to get you out of your routine and help you grow.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:

Hi, I’m Mark Tewart with the Sales Tip of the Day on CBT News.

The heart connects, but the mind protects. The only problem with that is your mind tries to protect you by keeping you safe, by keeping you in the norm, and what you have to do is to go into the area of not being safe. You have to get out of the norm, you have to get out of your comfort zone.

So when your mind starts to protect you by saying, “Well, I don’t know how to do that,” or, “I’ve never done that before,” recognize that these are just rackets that you’re playing in your brain that’s not really protecting you, it’s keeping you safe. When you’re safe you don’t grow, when you’re safe you don’t get better, when you’re safe you’re not abundant. Make sure that you don’t protect yourself, that you allow yourself to be unprotected, to go into unchartered territories, so you’ll deliver more, you’ll be more, you’ll have more, and you’ll get more.
