Prince Toyota dealership donates $5,000 to Tifton medical foundation

The Prince Toyota dealership of Tifton, Georgia, has donated $5,000 to the Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Foundation to help the organization provide better care for its patients.

The Toyota dealership has been a partner of the Tifton community for more than a decade, according to the foundation’s website. Mandy Brooks, executive director of TRMC, said the funds would be used to support “medical technology upgrades, community programs, and financial aid for patient families” and would enhance “access to quality health care for residents within Tift Regional’s 12 country service area.” The non-profit organization has provided patient care and diagnostic services in the Tifton area for nearly forty years.

Prince Toyota donated the money in partnership with Toyota Motor Sales. The automaker’s Dealer Match Program matches charitable contributions made by franchisees, doubling the impact participating storefronts can have on their communities. In addition to the TRMC, the dealership has helped fund the local YMCA, the Tift County Foundation for Educational Excellence and the United Way of South Central Georgia non-profit. The family-owned business is located off 2013 U.S. Highway 82 West and is managed by Mike Little.

The donation by Prince Toyota serves as a reminder of the positive impact dealerships can have on their neighborhoods and communities. Supporting organizations like TRMC also demonstrates a storefront’s commitment to better serve their clients, which is why many car manufacturers and dealership associations offer additional services to help their franchisees connect with local non-profits. Charities run by dealers can also attract the support of customers, who can help broaden the reach of such programs with donations of their own.
