Up Your Game in Your Appearance

Maybe you don’t have to wear a suit to work. But does your collared pullover have to be wrinkled when you greet people at the dealership showroom? No, and Mark explains why.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:

I want you to up your game in the way that you look and appear. You only get one chance for that good first impression. And yes, it does matter. It goes to the subconscious mind of the customer and they begin to evaluate you from jump street. And we have unintentional consequences that have occurred in the industry. Like all the other industries, we begun to dress down, wear golf shirts and different apparel that’s a little bit more casual. I’m okay with that. There’s nothing wrong with that, but if your appearance is not up in your game, in other words, you’re wearing that golf shirt, but it’s not taken care of. It’s wrinkled. Your khaki pants aren’t right and you don’t have shined shoes, let me share with you, would it hurt you at all if you upped your game? But, what I do know is it can hurt you if you don’t up your game. Don’t take casual Friday to be casual about everything you do in your appearance.

I’ve heard it described as wrapping your package. Wrap your package better. Be a little bit better, up your game in your appearance and I promise you it will help your sales.
