Hyundai Motor officially unveiled the latest addition to its Ioniq lineup, the 2026 Ioniq 9. This all-electric SUV is the automaker’s largest electric vehicle (EV). It will make significant waves in the EV market. It reflects the automaker’s commitment to blending advanced EV technology with comfort-oriented design.

The Ioniq 9’s modern design with futuristic elements sets it apart from the smaller Ioniq models and the Kia EV9, a sister brand based on the same model platform.

The interior is exceptionally spacious, creating a lounge-like experience. It has three rows and a fully flat floor that can accommodate seating arrangements for six to seven passengers. It also features a Panoramic Sunroof and Relaxation Seats that offer a Dynamic Touch Massage.

The second-row Swiveling Seats allow greater flexibility and allow passengers to face each other when the vehicle is stationary. The Ioniq 9 also features a slideable Universal Island 2.0 console that second-row passengers can easily access.

In addition to a beautiful design and incredible features, the Ioniq 9 also has incredible performance specs. Its fast-charging capabilities allow it to charge from 10% to 80% within 24 minutes and deliver a range of 335 miles per charge. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph within 4.9 seconds.

The Ioniq 9 is set to arrive in U.S. dealerships in the spring. Hyundai is keeping the SUV’s pricing under tight wraps until closer to the official launch. The Kia EV9, based on the same vehicle platform, starts at $55,000. Hyundai may start the Ioniq 9 at a similar price.

Hyundai remains steadfast in its goal to become one of the world’s top three EV manufacturers by 2030 despite consumers’ slower-than-anticipated adoption rates. The Ioniq 9 is positioned to enhance the automaker’s portfolio and appeal to a wider audience and represents a significant step forward in Hyundai’s EV journey.
