Filosa reshapes Stellantis’ top management to boost global performance

Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa announced a major reshuffle of the automaker’s top leadership, appointing new executives to key regional and global roles as the company prepares its 2026 strategy. The changes aim to reverse two years of declining sales, shrinking profits, and a stagnant model lineup.

The executive changes follow last month’s appointment of Joao Laranjo as CFO, a longtime associate of Filosa, who replaced Doug Ostermann. Filosa, who became CEO in June, is accelerating the leadership overhaul to position Stellantis for growth and operational improvements ahead of the unveiling of the strategic plan next year.

  • Emanuele Cappellano – Head of Enlarged Europe and European Brands; retains role leading Stellantis Pro One
  • Herlander Zola – Head of South America; succeeds Cappellano
  • Grégoire Olivier – Head of China and Asia-Pacific region
  • Francesco Ciancia – Global Head of Manufacturing (rejoining from Mercedes-Benz), starting November 1
  • Ralph Gilles – Global Head of Design
  • Jean-Philippe Imparato – CEO of Maserati; focuses on performance improvements and Stellantis & You, reports to Cappellano
  • Samir Cherfan – Continues as Head of Middle East & Africa and Micromobility

Departures:

  • Arnaud Deboeuf – Global Head of Manufacturing, leaving November 1
  • Philippe de Rovira – Former Head of Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa region, leaving for new opportunities
