On Today’s Auto Marketing Now, Brian continues his discussion with Alan Krutsch, VP sales and Marketing for Ryan Adams Group. Alan talks about a strategy Enterprise Rental Car is famous for in their hiring process and why this has been a very successful staffing model. Alan also talks about traditional hiring practices in retail automotive. Gone are the days where we offer new staff very little training, a small base salary and an extremely competitive environment. These practices have resulted in high turn-over and under preforming sales departments year after year. Alan believes that the path to success is to “show the future” to new hires and not scare them with a dog-eat-dog environment. Customers don’t want to be presented with a sales person, they want a product specialist or a customer service focused individual. Tune in to hear more from Brian and Alan.
