Hyundai Hope on Wheels®, one of the nation’s largest pediatric cancer charities, will distribute $27 million in grants this year to medical institutions across the U.S. as it expands its reach into Canada and Mexico. The organization, backed by Hyundai Motor America and over 850 U.S. dealers, is now extending its efforts globally to advance childhood cancer research and care.

Founded in 1998, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has donated $277 million to date and awarded more than 1,400 research and programmatic grants to over 175 medical centers. In 2025, the nonprofit will continue funding initiatives that support treatment, long-term survivorship care, and telehealth access for children overcoming cancer.

This year’s expansion began with a February launch in Canada, and operations in Mexico are set to begin in April. As Hyundai Hope on Wheels enters new markets, it aims to strengthen research collaboration and improve outcomes for children battling cancer worldwide.

In recognition of its 27th anniversary, the organization will host grant presentation ceremonies throughout the year, culminating in a national celebration in Washington, D.C., during National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September.

Hyundai Hope on Wheels also introduced its newest National Youth Ambassador, 10-year-old Jackson Trinh of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jackson will serve from 2025 to 2027, joining current ambassador Emmy Cole in hospital visits to share their stories and raise awareness.

The nonprofit unveiled a refreshed brand identity featuring its signature handprint, now joined by a wing, heart, and leaf—symbols representing hope, love, and recovery. The updated logo and color scheme reflect the organization’s enduring mission to create a world free of pediatric cancer.
