Ford boosts discounts on EVs for year-end sales event

Ford is boosting savings on its EV lineup as part of its new year-end sales event, making it easier for consumers to go electric

Ford, the Detriot automaker, is boosting savings on its electric vehicle (EV) lineup as part of its new year-end sales event, making it easier for consumers to go electric.

The automaker has significantly increased discounts on its top-selling electric models, the F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E, offering up to $10,500 in savings for those opting for a lease. Ford’s promotion includes 0% financing for 72 months, $5,000 in Bonus Cash, and a free EV charger with standard installation at no additional cost.

The new initiative, launched on November 15, is designed to provide customers with various ways to save on the 2024 Mustang Mach-E and the 2024 F-150 Lightning. In addition to the financial incentives, Ford’s “Power Promise” program, introduced in October, offers all new EV buyers a free Level 2 home charger and 24/7 live support. The company is also sweetening the deal with an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty, highlighting the practical benefits of owning an EV, like waking up to a fully charged vehicle every morning.

For those interested in leasing, Ford’s offer becomes even more attractive. The 2024 Mustang Mach-E, for example, is eligible for up to $10,500 in lease cash ($7,500 EV Red Carpet Lease + $3,000 bonus cash), while the F-150 Lightning qualifies for up to $6,500 in savings ($3,500 Red Carpet Lease + $3,000 bonus cash). The automaker is creating these deals to make its electric trucks and SUVs more accessible to a broader audience.

Nevertheless, the automaker has expanded its EV sales network to nearly 3,000 dealers across the U.S., and its EV sales continue to gain momentum. In October alone, the company sold 6,264 electric models, bringing its total EV sales to nearly 74,000 units for the year, a 38% increase over 2023. With the Mustang Mach-E as the second best-selling electric SUV in the U.S. and the F-150 Lightning ranked as the second best-selling EV pickup, Ford is solidifying its place in the growing electric vehicle market.
