How Gubagoo’s partnership with Asbury aims to bridge the divide between consumer expectation and experience

Recently Asbury Automotive Group made headlines as they unveiled their new online retail tool, Clicklane, powered by Gubagoo. On today’s show, we’re pleased to welcome the Chief Operating Officer of Gubagoo, Ryan Osten, to discuss what this development means for Asbury and the industry as a whole.

In order to meet the growing demand for digital retailing options in today’s market, the innovative eCommerce platform Gubagoo collaborated with one of the nation’s top dealer groups, Asbury Automotive. Thus, the virtual retailing tool Clicklane was born. Clicklane is the evolution of Gubagoo’s PushStart tool, which creates an end-to-end, digital shopping experience that addresses the obstacles that consumers often face with online car buying.

In this segment, Osten and anchor Jim Fitzpatrick tackle the following:

  • What the Clicklane platform is and the solutions it provides
  • Why and how Gubagoo developed the product
  • The specific issues Clicklane resolves in regards to customer communication
  • What this product means for Asbury automotive Group as a whole
  • The acceleration of digital retailing adoption in the auto retail industry
  • The challenges and successes of digital retailing in 2020
  • Which digital retailing trends are on deck for dealers in 2021

Prior to joining Gubagoo, in the early 2010s, Ryan Osten served as legal counsel for BlueCat Networks, and he also held the role of private equity and venture capital analyst at several capital management firms like Artemis Investment Management and Kensington Capital Partners.
