Stellantis to build $41M Mopar parts hub in Georgia

Stellantis’ new Georgia facility will consolidate regional Mopar operations, employ UAW workers, and use advanced robotics to speed parts delivery across the Southeast.
Stellantis NV announced Wednesday that it will build a $41 million Mopar parts distribution center in Forsyth, Georgia.

On the Dash:

  • Stellantis is investing $41 million in a new Mopar parts distribution center in Forsyth, Georgia, set to open in 2027, consolidating regional operations to improve delivery across the Southeast.
  • The facility will feature high automation, including 66 robots in a 16,000-square-foot AutoStore section, while employing about 90 UAW-represented workers.
  • The project is part of Stellantis’ broader U.S. Mopar network modernization, supported by a 2023 UAW labor agreement that ensures higher wages and maintains overall job levels across the network.

Stellantis NV announced Wednesday that it will build a $41 million Mopar parts distribution center in Forsyth, Georgia, aimed at improving delivery speeds for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram dealers across the Southeast. The 422,000-square-foot facility will employ roughly 90 United Auto Workers-represented employees and is scheduled to open in 2027, with construction set to begin next year.

The new Georgia hub is part of Stellantis’ broader effort to modernize and consolidate its U.S. Mopar parts distribution network. This includes a recently announced $388 million plant near Metro Detroit and a $64 million facility that opened earlier this year in Fishkill, New York. Like the Van Buren Township plant in Michigan, the Georgia facility will consolidate operations from regional centers in Atlanta and Orlando under one roof.

The plant will feature high automation, including a 16,000-square-foot “AutoStore” section where 66 robots will retrieve parts and hand them off to workers for final preparation before shipment. Stellantis expresses that the new design will streamline operations and improve delivery times for dealers and customers.

Notably, labor agreements with the United Auto Workers (UAW) played a key role in the project. In 2023, the union secured higher pay and ended a lower wage tier for Mopar employees, while Stellantis promised overall job gains despite consolidating multiple facilities.

Under the agreement, parts workers now earn wages comparable to vehicle production employees. UAW officials are monitoring employment levels to ensure the network maintains at least 2,250 UAW-represented jobs.
