Porsche this week revealed an all-electric version of its Cayenne SUV, dubbing it the “most powerful” production vehicle in the company’s history. The 2026 Cayenne EV delivers up to 1,139 horsepower, 1,106 foot-pounds of torque, and accelerates from 0-60 mph in 2.4 seconds, with a top speed of 162 mph.
Although the vehicle achieves peak performance when launch mode is activated, the SUV still generates up to 844 horsepower in standard driving mode. The automaker is also offering a “Turbo Electric” model starting at $163,000, while the base model with 402 horsepower and 615 foot-pounds of torque will start at $109,000.
Advance EV technology
The Cayenne EV features a 113-kilowatt-hour battery and an 800-volt electrical architecture, which enables the SUV to charge from 10% to 80% in less than 16 minutes. Moreover, the SUV is also the first Porsche to offer optional inductive, or wireless, charging, though it charges at a slower rate than traditional plug-in systems.
Notably, orders for the electric SUV are now open, with deliveries expected to begin by the end og summer 2026.
Following the 2019 launch of the Taycan and the 2024 Macan, this marks the automaker’s third electric vehicle for the U.S. market. The Cayenne will also be offered alongside a combustion-engine model and a plug-in hybrid, which allows dealerships to cater to both traditional and EV buyers.
