Nissan has given the Frontier a lighter refresh for 2025, introducing styling tweaks, new technology, and quality-of-life changes that enhance its appeal. While the Frontier’s overall design remains largely the same, subtle adjustments and new features make the 2025 model more attractive and functional.

What’s New?

The 2025 Frontier receives minor styling updates, maintaining its tough and attractive look, particularly in the top-spec Pro-4X model. The lineup includes the base S, SV, and comfort-oriented SL trims. Under the hood, the Frontier retains its 3.8-liter V6 engine and nine-speed automatic transmission, delivering 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain allows for a switchable four-wheel-drive system and improved towing capacity, now reaching a maximum of 7,150 pounds.

A significant addition is the expanded availability of the 6-foot bed option for crew-cab models, now accessible in SV, SL, and Pro-4X trims. The Frontier features a fully boxed frame and a double-wishbone suspension up front with leaf springs at the rear.

The 2025 Frontier’s interior sees notable upgrades, including a new 12.3-inch multimedia display available in SV trims and above. This screen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an updated surround-view monitor system that operates at higher speeds when off-road. A crucial ergonomic improvement is the addition of a telescoping steering wheel, enhancing comfort for drivers of all sizes.

The base model Frontier S, designed as a work truck, will feature a smaller screen, the size of which Nissan has not specified. However, the overall interior layout remains consistent with previous models, focusing on practicality and usability.

The retro-cool Hardbody Edition’s return for 2025 is currently uncertain. However, the new Frontier is set to hit dealerships by the end of summer, with pricing details to be announced closer to its release date.

Nissan’s updates to the Frontier make it a more compelling choice in the competitive midsize truck market, combining proven performance with new tech and features to meet modern driver needs.
