Longo Toyota auctions exclusive 2023 GR Corolla MORIZO for charity

The auction will be held virtually from October 18 to 24, with the winning bidder notified on October 24.

This October, Longo Toyota, the largest Toyota dealership in the world, will auction off a limited edition 2023 Toyota GR Corolla MORIZO, with the proceeds benefitting Vision To Learn and the El Monte Schools.

Toyota stated that it only produced 200 units of this limited-edition performance GR Corolla and Longo Toyota will auction badge number 001. The auction will be held virtually from October 18 to 24, with the winning bidder notified on October 24. Furthermore, the winning offer will be matched and donated to charity.

The dealership is working with the digital auction company Bring a Trailer (BaT) to advertise the vehicle for auction. Following the auction, BaT will further donate its buyer fee to the involved charities.

Doug Eroh, president and general manager of Longo Toyota, stated, “Longo Toyota has long been a proud supporter of our community, and we are thrilled we can put 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this monumental vehicle back into the community to serve our students in El Monte.” “We can’t wait to share more about the GR Corolla MORIZO Edition with automotive enthusiasts and showcase the power and performance behind this very limited-edition vehicle.”

Donations to the El Monte City School District will support the establishment of maker spaces and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) labs in each of the district’s schools. In these specialized STEAM spaces, students will provide experiential learning through hands-on activities centered around design, audiovisual components, coding, and much more.

“Education doesn’t start or end in the classroom.” El Monte City School District superintendent Dr. Maribel Garcia stated, “It takes a community to mentor young scholars, and one of our goals is to cultivate relationships to provide the best opportunities for our students. With our Longo Toyota partnership and the proceeds from their auction, we can continue to empower our students,”

Additional proceeds will be used to assist regional initiatives run by Vision To Learn, a nonprofit that offers free vision tests, eye exams, and spectacles to students from underprivileged neighborhoods around the U.S. Vision To Learn began more than a decade ago in Los Angeles and currently supports kids in dozens of communities, including East Los Angeles County.
