How does Sonic Automotive handle inventory? – Interview with Jeff Dyke

On a recent visit to Sonic Automotive’s new EchoPark dealership, Joe had the pleasure of speaking one-on-one with Jeff Dyke, Executive VP of Operations for Sonic. Jeff told Joe how EchoPark has achieved profitability using the one Sonic-One Experience program. The main goal of this program is to offer one customer, one price in one hour. Along with this goal was to improve transparency, grow market share and improve fixed-ops. This multi-year implementation for Sonic has proven to be a successful, so successful they are on track to open 50 more stores by the end of the year and recently reporting an increase of 41.8% in profit.
