CDK rolls out fixed ops tool to non-DMS customers

The Fixed Ops Suite enables all dealers, regardless of their DMS, to access tools that close the customer service gap.
CDK Global

CDK Global expanded access to its Fixed Operations Suite to non-CDK DMS customers, broadening industry-wide availability to help more dealerships streamline service workflows and improve customer engagement.

The platform includes AI tools to boost service lane efficiency and communication, including HD-quality inspection videos, an AI virtual assistant with smart replies, translation services, automated customer updates and 24/7 multichannel appointment scheduling.

Here’s why it matters:

Fixed operations remain a critical profit center for dealerships, playing a vital role in building customer loyalty, sourcing used inventory and maintaining long-term profitability.

However, many stores continue to struggle with customer communication, efficient appointment scheduling and service transparency, significant shortcomings that negatively impact CSI and customer retention.

A recent CDK Service Shopper survey highlights this gap. Nearly 40% of respondents reported difficulty booking service appointments by phone, with extended wait times discouraging them from returning for future maintenance or repairs.

By expanding access to its Fixed Operations Suite, CDK now enables all dealers, regardless of their DMS provider, to leverage advanced tools that help close the gap.

Key takeaways:

  • CDK’s Fixed Operations Suite is available to all
Previously exclusive to CDK DMS customers, the suite is now accessible to any dealership looking to enhance its fixed operations.
  • The platform offers AI tools that boost CSI
CDK’s Fixed Operations Suite includes HD-quality inspection videos, a multilingual AI virtual assistant and digital repair updates. It also features 24/7 multichannel scheduling and automated customer alerts to improve service transparency.
  • It boosts efficiency and reduces missed revenue
By automating appointment booking and customer communication, the suite enables teams to handle higher service volumes while reducing the burden of phone-based scheduling.
  • There’s a disconnect between customer expectations and service delivery
CDK’s Service Shopper survey found that most customers value easy scheduling and clear communication; yet, these needs are often unmet, impacting loyalty and repeat business.
  • Helps level the playing field
By opening its suite to all dealers, CDK provides non-CDK DMS users with access to tools previously limited to its ecosystem, enabling more stores to compete with modern AI-enhanced solutions.
