Hyundai launches tiered Rewards program to boost customer loyalty

Hyundai’s Rewards give owners discounts on vehicles and Bluelink services for completing routine brand engagement activities.
Hyundai Motor America has introduced a new customer loyalty initiative called Hyundai Rewards, offering benefits to all owners.

Hyundai Motor America has introduced a new customer loyalty initiative called Hyundai Rewards. The free program offers benefits to new and existing Hyundai owners, including vehicle purchase discounts and reduced Bluelink™ subscription rates.

The rewards program offers three tiers: Silver, Gold, and Blue. Customers can advance through these tiers by participating in routine ownership activities, such as scheduling maintenance or utilizing the Bluelink service. Unlike traditional auto rewards programs, Hyundai Rewards eliminates the point system and the need for a credit check, making it more accessible for everyday car owners.

Reward Options Silver Gold Blue
Hyundai ICE Vehicle Purchase Discount $250 $300
Hyundai Electric Vehicle Purchase Discount $250 $300 $400
Bluelink Connected Care and Remote Discount 50% off 50% off 60% off

Here’s why it matters:

Hyundai Rewards enhances customer retention by incentivizing service visits and digital engagement, ultimately benefiting dealership service departments. It also provides dealers with a new value proposition to present during the sales process, especially as buyers become increasingly discerning. By encouraging vehicle owners to remain within the Hyundai ecosystem, dealers are more likely to gain repeat business, improve CSI (customer service index) scores, and deepen long-term customer relationships.

Key takeaways:

  • Hyundai Rewards offers tiered benefits
The new program features Silver, Gold, and Blue tiers, with increasing discounts on ICE and EV purchases as customers progress through the levels.
  • Discounts can reach up to $400 off
The highest Blue Tier provides up to $400 off EV purchases and 60% off Bluelink services, rewarding continued engagement with the brand.
  • No points, credit check, or cards required
Hyundai Rewards differed from typical OEM programs by focusing on real ownership actions rather than financial spending ot point accumulation.
  • Routine engagement fuels progression
Activities such as completing maintenance, using Digital Key, or signing up for Bluelink all contribute to advancing tiers.
  • Dealers can leverage it as a retention tool
The program supports fixed ops growth and vehicle repurchase rates, giving Hyundai retailers a fresh way to drive customer loyalty.

Ultimately, Hyundai Rewards offers a simple and accessible way for owners to save while staying engaged with their vehicles. By rewarding everyday actions like maintenance and service participation, the program enhances the ownership experience without adding complexity or cost.
