CDK expands fixed operations suite to non-CDK DMS customers, boosting customer service and operational efficiency

CDK

AUSTIN, Texas – June 23, 2025 – CDK, the leading automotive retail software provider, today announced the expansion of the CDK Fixed Operations Suite to non-CDK DMS customers. Building on the suite’s success within the CDK Dealership Xperience, the integrated digital service lane technology solution is now available to all dealerships across the industry—enhancing service workflows, improving consumer experiences, and increasing operating efficiencies.

A recent CDK Service Shopper study reveals that consumers prioritize convenient appointment scheduling, qualified technicians, and transparency throughout the vehicle repair process. However, these expectations often go unmet. Nearly 40% of respondents reported significant challenges when booking service appointments by phone, facing average wait times exceeding eight minutes—an experience that discourages many from returning to the dealership for future maintenance or repairs.

“Many dealerships still struggle to make repairs understandable, clearly communicate service needs and consistently engage customers about future repairs—resulting in missed opportunities to build customer loyalty,” said Sanjay Almeida, chief product officer, CDK. “As the industry leader, CDK is the trusted partner who dealers turn to for overcoming these challenges. Our Fixed Operations Suite has a proven track record of enhancing dealer operational efficiency and service profitability through unmatched, data-driven, and scalable workflows.”

The CDK Fixed Operations Suite offers the following to non-CDK DMS customers:

  • Seamlessly integrated artificial intelligence to enhance customer engagement with HD-quality inspection videos. AIVA, the highly successful AI Virtual Assistant from CDK, provides professional responses utilizing smart replies and translation services in over 50 languages.
  • Transparent vehicle updates via digital communications, including real-time vehicle tracking, health alerts, and consistent pricing for all makes and models.
  • Convenient multichannel appointment scheduling with 24/7 online access, flexible BDC scheduling and appointment dashboard, and automated appointment alerts and reminders via mobile contact.

As of 2025, CDK software is relied upon to power the operations of the majority of franchise dealerships in North America, including five of the six publicly held dealership groups in the U.S and the only publicly held dealership group in Canada.
