  • Carvana partnered with Shaquille O’Neal to launch the AI-powered “Shaqbot,” embedding his voice and personality into its car-buying platform.
  • The collaboration includes a campaign with national ads, a Shaqvana.com microsite, and a “Shaq Filter” for browsing Shaq-approved vehicles.

Carvana has partnered with basketball Hall of Famer and entrepreneur Shaquille O’Neal to debut the world’s first AI-powered “Shaqbot,” a digital assistant designed to make online car shopping more engaging and entertaining.

This groundbreaking collaboration marks the first time Carvana has integrated a celebrity’s voice, personality, and preferences directly into its customer experience. The move combines Carvana’s technology with O’Neal’s larger-than-life persona to simplify car buying while injecting humor and personality into the process.

The Shaqbot features O’Neal’s actual voice recordings and personalized responses, allowing customers to browse vehicles, ask questions, and enjoy Shaq-style humor throughout the experience. “I’ve been buying and selling cars for years, and when I found Carvana, I really loved the ease and innovation of the brand,” O’Neal said in a statement

The campaign extends beyond the Shaqbot to include a national ad campaign starring O’Neal, a microsite at Shaqvana.com, and a “Shaq Filter” for browsing vehicles. Customers can use the filter to shop by O’Neal’s preferred features, including spacious interiors, high horsepower, and sunroofs.

Personalized digital retail

Carvana, known for pioneering online used-car sales and its signature car vending machines, is expanding its platform with more interactive and personalized experiences. The company says the partnership with O’Neal represents a step toward integrating cultural icons into its digital-first retail strategy.

Customers can explore the full experience at Shaqvana.com and follow @Carvana on social media for upcoming Shaq-powered surprises, including a special release planned for the company’s holiday-themed “Haulerdays” campaign.
