Honda Prologue lease beats Civic on price with up to $14,250 in savings

While the best deals are available in California and other Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) states, substantial savings are also available in other regions.
Honda's new Prologue electric SUV has become an unexpectedly affordable option, with leasing costs now surpassing those of the Civic

2024 Honda Prologue | Car and Driver

Honda’s new Prologue electric SUV has become an unexpectedly affordable option, with leasing costs now surpassing those of the Civic due to substantial Labor Day discounts.

Starting at $47,400, the 2024 Honda Prologue, which began arriving at U.S. dealerships in March, offers a lease deal significantly lower than that of the Civic. The Prologue, built on GM’s Ultium platform and boasting up to 296 miles of range, is now available for as low as $299 per month for a 36-month lease. With a $1,000 lease bonus and $750 Labor Day Dealer Cash, the monthly rate can drop to $269, compared to the Civic LX’s $239 monthly lease after discounts. Despite the Prologue’s higher MSRP, the lease savings make it a more economical choice.

In comparison, the Honda Civic LX lease is priced at $239 per month, with $3,599 due at signing, totaling $333 per month, or $8 more than the Prologue despite the Civic being nearly half the price of the Prologue.

The SUV discounts include a $7,500 EV tax credit, $5,000 in Captive Lease Cash, $1,000 in lease offers, and $750 in Labor Day Dealer Cash. While the best deals are available in California and other Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) states, substantial savings are also available in other regions.

Additionally, Honda’s luxury brand, Acura, has reduced lease prices for its electric SUV, the Acura ZDX. Offering nearly $30,000 in total discounts, it is over $100 cheaper per month to lease than the Tesla Model Y.
