The previous few weeks have been a frenzy of activity for Air Force 2nd Lieutenant Madison Marsh. On May 27, she won over 20 of the state’s top competitors to become the newest Miss Colorado. The week after graduating from the Air Force Academy and receiving a commission, she made history by becoming the first military officer on active duty to hold a title inside the Miss America organization.

On July 20, Mike Maroone Honda presented Marsh with a vehicle that should help make her more mobile as she travels across the state in her role as Miss Colorado. President and managing partner Jeff Bramhall of Mike Maroone Honda, presented Marsh with the free use of a brand-new Honda CR-V during a brief ceremony.

According to officials, the Colorado Springs dealership has participated in several initiatives helping the area’s servicemen and women.

As a veteran who served in the Marine Corps, Bramhall added, “She’s a tremendous representative of our military, and that’s important to me. But what’s interesting is that she also represents Colorado Springs. We wished to participate in that.”

Marsh stated that she is honored to serve the military, Miss America, and Colorado Springs. She also expressed that her new car will significantly help her carry out her duties.

She remarked, “Thanks to the vehicle, I can go out and connect with people anywhere. One of the most important aspects of being a Miss America organization member, particularly being Miss Colorado, is that.”

Marsh’s new position allows her to spread awareness of pancreatic cancer, a subject she is passionate about. Whitney, her mother, passed away from the illness in 2018, one of the deadliest and sneakiest types of cancer. She explained, “My mother had such a brief life. She passed away at age 41. I took away from that experience the necessity to live each day to the fullest and pursue my passions as a young woman. That means working for the Miss Colorado organization and serving in the military for me.
