Texas dealer donates $50K to program serving underprivileged youth

The donation will make it possible for families to have the urgently required house repairs needed for a safe living environment.
Vic Vaughan Family Foundation

Love Kendall County Kids has received a $50,000 donation from the Vic Vaughan Family Foundation (VVFF), the philanthropic arm of Vaughan Automotive. The donation will cover the entire cost of the following summer programs:

  • The Food 4 Kids Program supplies food to underprivileged children in neighborhood group homes and during non-school hours.
  • The Camps 4 Kids Program offers scholarships for summer camps to underprivileged local youngsters to give them educational, social, and recreational opportunities.

Additionally, the donation will make it possible for families to have the urgently required house repairs needed for a safe living environment.

Vic Vaughan Family Foundation was established to turn blessings into action by eradicating hunger in their local communities, assisting underprivileged women and children, supporting local government agencies, and supporting military veterans.

Love Kendall County Kids aims to assist children in Kendall County in any capacity they can. The program fills the gap in food during non-school hours with 100% volunteer labor. They collaborate with churches, companies, institutions of higher learning, and other organizations to offer lunches, camp scholarships, and additional year-round assistance to local children and families facing food insecurity.

Vic Vaughan, the owner of VVFF in Boerne, Texas formed the foundation to give back to the community that continually supported him over the years. The foundation previously gave $1,500 to Hill Country Family Services and $50,000 to Hill Country Daily Bread, a rescue resource center in Boerne.

“This donation is going to make an enormous difference for the kids of Kendall County,” said Beth Webster, Love Kendall County Kids Board Chair. “Not only is this donation going to help with the Food 4 Kids Program, but it will also allow our organization to double the number of scholarships given to the children of Kendall County, allowing them to enroll in camps at places like Boerne Soccer Club, the Boys & Girls Club, Cibolo Nature Center, the YMCA, and many more. We are so grateful to the Vic Vaughan Family Foundation for truly understanding the needs of our community and improving the lives of children in Kendall County.”
