NORCROSS, Ga. — May 16, 2019 —After 35 years, Larry Dorfman has decided to step aside as Chairman and CEO of APCO Holdings, LLC. and assume a role as Senior Advisor to the company to allow himself more time to focus on his family and personal life while still engaging in the things he is most passionate about – supporting dealers, agents and the company’s employees. Finbarr O’Neill (Fin), will succeed him as Chairman and CEO.
APCO Holdings, LLC. is most commonly known for its strong brands: EasyCare, GWC Warranty, SAVY, Covideo and MotorTrend Certified Vehicles, which serve a broad array of the automotive retail industry through franchised dealers, independent dealers, OEMs and other distribution channels. In his new role, O’Neill will focus on operational effectiveness and strategy to strengthen APCO’s position as the premier provider of vehicle service contracts, ancillary products and best in class administrative services allowing dealers to offer customers great products while driving growth and profitability.
Most recently, O’Neill was President and CEO of J.D. Power. In his 10 years with J.D. Power, O’Neill helped lead the firm through a period of dramatic expansion into data & analytics, and the integration of strategic acquisitions including the NADA Used Car Guide and the used car pricing consumer website National Appraisal Guides. Previously, he served as CEO of Hyundai Motor America where he helped lead a brand turnaround, and as CEO of both Mitsubishi North America and Reynolds & Reynolds.
