Dealerships nationwide honor Veterans with vehicles, discounts, service offers

From vehicle giveaways to service discounts, dealers nationwide are providing tangible support for veterans and active-duty military members.
Veterans Day, dealerships

On the Dash:

  • Dealerships and automakers are providing tangible support for Veterans Day through vehicles, service discounts, and special events nationwide.
  • Programs like GM’s Shifting Gears help veterans transition to civilian life by offering technical training and career opportunities in the automotive industry.
  • Beyond promotions, dealerships are combining community support, career programs, and incentives to make meaningful, lasting impacts for veterans and active-duty military members.

Across the country, this Veterans Day, dealerships and automakers are finding effective ways to give back to those who have risked their lives in service to the nation. From special discounts and service offers to awarding brand-new vehicles and supporting career transitions, these gestures go beyond words of thanks; they provide tangible support and recognition for veterans and active-duty military members.

In Houston, Texas, Easy Honda awarded a local veteran a brand-new Honda vehicle lease through its “Vehicles for Vets” program, in partnership with the nonprofit NextOp. In the Mid-Michigan region, Garber Automotive Group announced on November 8 that every Garber-owned dealership would provide a free oil change to veterans and active-duty military members.

Nationally, AutoNation offered active military members, retired veterans, and their families a 20% discount on all services at AutoNation-branded locations and through its mobile service fleet from November 10-15, 2025. Ford is honoring veterans, active military, and first responders with its enhanced Military and First Responder Recognition Program, offering $1,000 Bonus Cash on select Ford and Lincoln vehicles through November 19, 2025. The company also hosted the first-ever Proud to Honor: Bronco Off-Roadeo in Texas, giving veterans and military families a chance to celebrate service and create memories. Additional service incentives, including tire discounts and rebates totaling up to $180, are also available.

Meanwhile, Chevrolet is recognizing military members and veterans through its Chevy Cares Military Support Program. Eligible buyers can receive a $500 total cash allowance on most models, along with discounts on SiriusXM subscriptions and OnStar services. Beyond vehicle offers, Chevrolet supports veteran employment and career transitions through programs like GM’s Shifting Gears Automotive Technical Training Program. Launched in partnership with the U.S. Army, Shifting Gears provides service members with technical training and professional development to prepare them for careers as automotive technicians. The program has trained hundreds of veterans, blending classroom instruction with hands-on practice, and qualifies graduates to work at GM dealerships after completing active duty.

Meanwhile, SONS Chevrolet Cadillac provided “exclusive savings” for veterans and active-duty military members on new and certified pre-owned Chevrolet vehicles as part of its Veterans Day and Black Friday promotions. In Virginia Beach, Virginia, Checkered Flag Toyota hosted a “Veteran’s Day Savings Event” from November 10-14, 2025, offering a $1,000 military rebate on the purchase or lease of new Toyota vehicles for honorably discharged veterans and retirees.

These initiatives reflect the automotive industry’s commitment to honoring America’s service members. From free oil changes and bonus cash offers to career training programs that help veterans build new futures, dealerships and automakers are turning appreciation into action through meaningful incentives and long-term support.
