The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced today that Hyundai Motor America is recalling nearly 67,000 vehicles in the United States due to two significant issues.
The recall affects approximately 54,647 vehicles experiencing a loss of drive power caused by a fuel pump failure. Additionally, about 12,349 Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles are being recalled due to a software error in the transmission control unit.
The NHTSA’s action highlights safety concerns that necessitate immediate attention to prevent potential accidents and ensure the reliability of the affected vehicles. Hyundai owners are urged to contact their local dealerships for further information and necessary repairs.
