Southern Team Hyundai | 2024 Ioniq 6

The Ioniq 6 is currently the largest electric sedan priced under $65,000. It measures 191.1 inches in length and provides sufficient interior space for passengers. Despite being on sale in America for less than a year, it has gained popularity for its impressive efficiency and an EPA-rated range of up to 361 miles. The automaker is offering a significant discount of $7,500 across its entire lineup.

Due to its current incentives, Hyundai’s Ioniq 6 SE, priced at $43,565, is the most affordable electric sedan available in the market in 2024. This brings down the cost of the electric sedan to $36,065, including destination fees. Conversely, Tesla’s Model 3 Highland starts at a price of $40,630, while the remaining older generation models in inventory are priced over $36,730. Additionally, the recently discounted Polestar 2 starts at $50,300, which is $14,235 more expensive than the Ioniq 6.

The E-GMP cars by Hyundai incorporate 800-volt architectures in various models, earning them a strong reputation in the automotive industry. The Ioniq 6 offers a great combination of range and safety features. It is available in three trims: SE, SEL, and Limited.

  • The SE is equipped with heated cloth seats, a power-opening trunk, scratchy audio, and HDA I.
  • The SEL has a phone-as-a-key, wireless charging, leatherette seats, ambient lighting, HDA II, and automatic lane changes.
  • The Limited has V2L charging, active powertrain sounds, Bose audio, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, a memory driver’s seat, a power passenger seat, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and a blind spot view monitor.

Each trim includes a 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack and two motor configurations: single and twin. The single-motor variant weighs between 4,222 and 4,376 pounds and produces a decent 225 horsepower, depending on the specification. The dual-motor version weighs between 4,462 and 4,616 pounds and generates 320 horsepower. According to Hyundai’s conservative calculations, the AWD Ioniq 6 can reach sixty miles per hour in 5.1 seconds.
