Chevrolet reveals upgraded 2025 Tahoe and Suburban SUVs

The updates on the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban make the industry's best-selling full-size SUVs an ever-stronger option for our customers
The industry's best-selling large SUVs, the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, will debut with new exterior and interior designs late next year.

2025 Chevy Tahoe | Car and Driver

The industry’s best-selling large sport utility vehicles (SUVs), the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, will debut with new exterior and interior designs late next year. These updates offer additional technology enhancements intended to increase driver confidence and security and more potent diesel engine alternatives available later in production.

Chevy’s SUVs have dominated the market for more than 45 years and have become household names, created and engineered with customers in mind.

The most notable changes, however, are to the exterior, with reprofiled front and back fascias, updated headlights, and a minor redesign of the taillights. For 2025, the updated Tahoe and Suburban both received minor engine upgrades. The Z71 model level now offers the 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel option, which produces greater power- 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque, up from 277 hp and 460 lb-ft.

The only downside is that it won’t be available until 2025, so when these updated SUVs arrive at dealers at the end of 2024, you won’t see them immediately.

The 2025 SUVs highlight a redesigned front end with brighter, fresher lighting. The revised front fascia is included with all six trims- LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country- with some featuring exclusive design cues. The High Country focuses on a sport-luxury motif with a subtle combination of black and Galvano chrome trim. In contrast, the Z71, one of the nameplates’ fastest-selling trims, features skid plates and a high-approach front fascia.

Other key highlights and features include:

  • Along with improved High Country interior and other lineup upgrades, the new interior design is focused on an all-new, best-in-segment 17.7-inch-diagonal central touchscreen1.
  • A brand-new, readily available 3.0L turbo-diesel Duramax engine from the second generation has 10% more horsepower than the existing models.
  • Ride and handling improvements designed to improve driving precision
  • Connected Cameras3, a completely integrated network of cameras that records theft and collision occurrences and lets users examine their car’s exterior and interior from a distance, is one example of enhanced safety and technology. OnStar service may be necessary for certain features.

Vice President of Chevrolet Scott Bell stated, “The updates on the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban make the industry’s best-selling full-size SUVs an ever-stronger option for our customers.” He continues, “No one comes close to Chevrolet — our segment-leading position is the envy of our competitors.”
