40 Under 40 Honoree: Paul Sansone III | Sansone Jr’s Keyport Kia

Paul Sansone III, also known as PS3, is making a name for himself in the automotive industry by building on a 65-year family legacy while charting his own path. A recipient of this year’s 2025 CBT News’ 40 Under 40 Awards, Sansone serves as general manager at Sansone Jr’s Keyport Kia and continues to expand his influence in New Jersey’s auto market.

Sansone’s journey includes successfully turning a college project into a long-standing initiative that has significantly impacted his dealerships. He worked with five classmates to develop a 140-page project, and 11 years later, it came to fruition, marking one of his proudest accomplishments in the car business.

He has been actively promoting Kia, a brand that has gained remarkable demand in recent years, highlighting the franchise’s affordability and production quality. Under Sansone’s leadership, the dealerships focus on helping customers with less-than-perfect credit secure reliable transportation while building their credit, a program branded as New Jersey Auto Lending.

"Being third-generation in the car business, the car business is my life. So, every day is work, but I feel like I'm going into my house."

Balancing work and life in the demanding dealership environment is challenging, but Sansone approaches it with dedication, working daily to ensure both operational excellence and expansion. Recent initiatives include launching a commercial van division to capture a niche market, and over the next few years, he hopes to secure new acquisitions while maintaining a strong foundation at his current locations.

Family plays a key role in Sansone’s approach. While his father, Paul Sansone Jr., remains involved, he provides PS3 the autonomy to run the dealerships according to his vision. Sansone collaborates closely with his father, brother, and cousin to manage operations, demonstrating how multigenerational leadership can successfully evolve within a family business.

Looking ahead, Sansone is focused on solidifying growth strategies, expanding specialized divisions, and continuing the family legacy of innovation and customer service excellence in the automotive sector.
