Reynolds & Reynolds CEO Robert Brockman charged with $2B fraud scheme

Reynolds & Reynolds

In the largest tax fraud case against an American in U.S. history, federal prosecutors are charging Robert Brockman, CEO of Reynolds & Reynolds, with a $2 billion tax fraud scheme. Department of Justice officials said in a news conference Thursday that Brockman hid the money for more than 20 years through a number of complicated schemes.

Some of these schemes involved Brockman filing false returns and setting up secret accounts all over the world to hide and launder the money. Brockman was charged with investor fraud as well. The indictment was unsealed Thursday and Brockman is scheduled to make an appearance in San Francisco.
