June new vehicle registrations

June

Cleveland, OH – Northern Ohio franchised dealers sold 19,051 new motor vehicles in June, an increase of 16.53 percent compared to the same month last year. According to figures released today by the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association (GCADA), year to date sales numbers are also up, by 8.29 percent over last year.

“Overall vehicle sales continued strong against soft June 2024, with consumer vehicle purchases and leases considerably outpacing the national sales results,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the GCADA. “As vehicle pricing pressure remains a concern, we see more buyers looking to avoid potential cost increases from tariffs being implemented.”

Ranking the best-selling brands in the region, Chevrolet stays on top with 2,816 new vehicles registered in June. Ford remains solidly in second, with 2,283 sales. Moving into third this month, Kia recorded 1,853 vehicles sold, passing Honda at 1,663 registrations. Toyota rounded out the top five with 1,688 sales.
