The new Chevrolet Blazer EV has begun shipping, and General Motors has revealed the official pricing for the trims that will be available later this year.

The first electric Blazer, in the RS all-wheel-drive configuration, began arriving at dealers on July 31 from GM’s plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. With a projected range of 279 miles on a full charge, its starting price of $60,215 is greater than previously anticipated.

Chevrolet spokesman Chad Lyons said, “Customer reception for the Blazer EV has been robust.” Additionally, the Blazer EV, which is based on the Ultium propulsion system, is next in GM’s new EV lineup:

The first was the 2022 GMC Hummer EV pickup in late 2021, followed by the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq SUV a year later. The Chevrolet Silverado EV debuted for business users earlier this year but will be offered to retail customers next year. Later this year, GM will introduce the high-end luxury EV Cadillac Celestiq and the Chevrolet Equinox.

The Blazer EV will be available in three trims: LT (luxury trim), RS (rally sport), and SS (super sport). The 2LT AWD trims and the RS rear-wheel drive version will go on sale this fall.

  • The base model will be the 2LT front-wheel drive starting in 2019.
  • Early next year, a police pursuit vehicle will be accessible.
  • GM is delaying the introduction of the SS trim from this year’s end to the start of manufacturing in the spring of 2024.

Closer to the releases of the RS and 2LT models next year, GM said it would provide more information on availability for the additional drivetrain choices, including front-wheel drive versions.
