Here’s why it matters:

This marks Stellantis CEO Filosa’s second significant leadership move since stepping into the role in late June. Kuniskis came out of retirement and rejoined the company seven months ago following the sudden departure of former Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares. He’s a company veteran, renowned for his excellent leadership. With Kuniskis at the helm, Stellantis may be better positioned to regain momentum across its U.S. brands.

Key Takeaways:

  • Tim Kuniskis will oversee all Stellantis American brands
With Kuniskis directing marketing and retail strategy, dealers can expect a more unified brand direction across Stellantis’ U.S. portfolio.
  • Ram is set for a significant product overhaul
Kuniskis is spearheading a turnaround at Ram, which includes the launch of 25 new products over the next 18 months to reverse years of declining sales.
  • V-8 Hemi engines are returning to Ram trucks
Ram will reintroduce its popular V-8 Hemi engine in the Ram 1500 by early 2026, aiming to win back performance-focused truck buyers.
  • Stellantis revives the iconic SRT division
The Street and Racing Technology (SRT) performance division has been brought back. Engineering talent from Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, and Ram will collaborate to build high-performance vehicles and motorsports vehicles.
  • Dealers can expect stronger marketing and customer connection strategies
Filosa says Kuniskis will deepen customer engagement and brand loyalty across U.S. operations, strengthening marketing and retail support for dealers.
