Penske Automotive Group has completed its acquisition of a Ferrari dealership in Modena, Italy, which expands its European footprint and luxury portfolio. Located in Emilia-Romagna, a key region in Italy’s automotive heritage, the dealership is expected to generate approximately $40 million in annual revenue. With this addition, Penske now operates 29 retail locations across Italy and nine Ferrari dealerships globally, including the exclusive distributor of Maranello Classic Parts.

Here’s why it matters:

This acquisition underscores a broader trend of consolidation among luxury automotive retailers, particularly in high-demand markets with strong brand heritage. For dealers, it highlights the value of acquiring legacy brands in iconic locations to build long-term profitability and brand cachet. It also signals continued global investment in high-end automotive sales despite macroeconomic pressures. Penske’s approach shows how a diversified dealer group can leverage scale, global presence, and a prestigious brand to gain a competitive advantage.
