Ford unveils Maverick 300T with Mustang turbo at SEMA 2025

The automaker will make the 300T project kit available to customers in 2026.
Ford debuts the Maverick 300T at SEMA 2025 with a Mustang turbo, upgraded suspension, and 300 horsepower for 2026 kit release

On the Dash:

  • The Maverick 300T swaps in a Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost turbo for 300 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque.
  • Suspension and wheel upgrades improve handling, lowering center of gravity and boosting control.
  • Ford plans to release a customer-accessible 300T project kit in 2026 for Maverick XL, XLT, and Lariat models.

Ford is showcasing the Maverick 300T at SEMA 2025, a performance-focused project vehicle that swaps the truck’s stock 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine for a turbocharger from the Mustang 2.3-litre EcoBoost. The upgrade boosts output to an estimated 300 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, increasing power by 50 horsepower and 40 lb-ft over the standard Maverick. Ford plans to make a version of the 300T project kit available to customers in 2026.

The turbo upgrade features a larger 59mm compressor wheel and pairs with a Mishimoto intercooler that is nearly 59% larger than the stock unit. This combination reduces intake temperatures by almost 40% and lowers pressure drop by more than 20%, improving consistent power delivery under heavy loads or spirited driving. ProCal 4 tuning and a Borla exhaust complete the engine modifications.

Performance enhancements extend beyond the engine. The Maverick 300T rides on 20-inch performance wheels with high-end tires and includes a suspension rework with lowered front and rear springs, upgraded monotube rear dampers, and a stiffer rear stabilizer bar. These adjustments improve handling, vehicle control, and overall driving enjoyment, whether the truck is carrying cargo or traveling empty.

Visually, the project vehicle features two signature color options: black or bronze. Both include unique300Tgraphics, Ford Performance badges, black chrome lug nuts, and in the Bronze package, bronze tailgate lettering. The design emphasizes the truck’s performance-oriented upgrades while maintaining a polished appearance.

The Maverick 300T is compatible with 2025 Maverick XL, XLT, and Lariat models equipped with the 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine and all-wheel drive. While optional, the 4K tow package is recommended to provide additional transmission cooling.

Ford developed the Maverick 300T in response to customer feedback and the community’s enthusiasm for customizing their compact trucks. The project highlights Ford Custom Garage’s ongoing focus on turning customer-inspired ideas into production-ready modifications. Attendees of SEMA 2025 can view the vehicle at the Ford Performance Parts booth, where the company will provide additional information on the 300T project kit.
