Cox Automotive’s Dale Pollak releases new book on used vehicle investment management

"Invested" is Pollak's seventh book and will officially launch at NADA 2025.

Dale Pollak, the executive vice president of Cox Automotive and founder of vAuto, released a new book titled Invested: The New Science, Strategy, & System of Used Vehicle Investment Management. His latest book is designed to help dealers redefine profitability strategies for used vehicle operations to drive success in today’s historically challenging market.

“I set foot in this industry 56 years ago, driven by a desire to innovate and create solutions that not only streamline operations, but transform how we perceive value and success for used vehicle departments,Pox said. ’Investedis not just a manual for managing used car operations; it is a testament to the enduring principles of investment and an exploration of how strategic thinking and innovative management can yield significant returns.”

In his book, Pollak critiques and challenges the traditional beliefs and assumptions that have governed used vehicle departments for over a century. He emphasizes that dealers need to shift the way they approach profitability and value creation to stay relevant in today’s challenging and competitive market.

Pollak is renowned for his industry insights, leadership, and ability to blend technology with practical solutions that directly benefit dealerships nationwide. His company, vAuto, transformed the way dealerships manage their inventories. He’s taken his knowledge and poured it into this latest book, which is filled with in-depth information, actionable strategies, and resources. It is not just a theoretical guide but a practical resource for dealers navigating today’s turbulent market.

Invested will be available on January 23 via Amazon and other online platforms. Dealers attending the NADA 2025 convention can pick up a copy at vAuto’s booth.
