CDK reveals AI and data-driven innovations ahead of NADA 2025

CDK has been at the forefront of innovation and technology, and this year is no different. Joining us on today’s episode of Driving Solutions is Barb Edson, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at CDK, to share her insights on what’s ahead for the industry and what CDK will be showcasing at this year’s NADA Show.

CDK, a leading innovator in automotive technology, is setting the stage for 2025 with groundbreaking solutions designed to streamline dealership operations and enhance profitability. Speaking with Edson, she emphasizes CDK’s commitment to listening to dealers, OEMs, and independent software vendors to deliver seamless, consumer-centric solutions.

At the heart of CDK’s advancements is hybrid intelligence, blending artificial intelligence (AI) with CDK’s extensive data repository and human expertise. For example, the company’s AI Virtual Assistant, Ava, now supports conversational text messaging, phone answering in 50 languages, and an expanded ChatGPT-like interface across its platform.

CDK will debut two major solutions at NADA 2025:

  1. A New Vehicle Inventory Suite: This fifth addition to the dealership experience platform offers innovative appraisal tools powered by CDK’s access to over 50% of repair orders in the industry. Dealers can anticipate required repairs based on odometer readings and obtain competitive retail pricing insights.
  2. An Embedded Payment Solution: Designed to save time and money, this tool automates transaction reconciliations directly into dealership accounting systems, coupled with a concierge-like support experience.

Beyond these launches, CDK has rolled out the Resource Center and an AI-driven Customer Care Portal for 24/7 support. Additional initiatives include role-based employee certifications and industry research on emerging topics like EVs and best hiring practices.

Dealers attending NADA 2025 are encouraged to visit the CDK booth to explore these transformative solutions firsthand.
