Salespeople who skip social media may miss out on a steady source of leads and referrals. Video lets buyers get comfortable with a salesperson well before they walk into the store. On today’s edition of CBT Live, Andrea Anderson, Salesperson at Andrews Cadillac in Brentwood, Tennessee, and known online as “Andrea Sells Cadillac,” explains how her videos connect with customers and drive sales.
Social video became a steady sales channel after about a year of consistent posting, with early traction showing up three to six months in. Customers now call, message and send referrals every day, and clients in Arizona, Florida, Texas, Wyoming and Montana have bought from her, Anderson said.
Buyers respond to real people more than polished company promos, and a small mistake or pause can make a salesperson seem more human, Anderson said. Salespeople who feel uneasy on camera can start by answering the questions customers ask every day in a video.
Anderson suggests posting on every platform, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn because different age groups use different apps. Seeing a salesperson speak on video also removes the awkwardness of a first meeting. Anderson said she spends one to two hours of her day shooting, editing and posting social media content. It’s an investment that’s bringing her big returns when it comes to car sales.
