On the Dash:
- Acura will launch an adventure-ready SUV in early 2028, giving dealers an entry in a segment where Acura doesn’t compete today.
- Acura will introduce the all-new RDX Hybrid in 2028, and the brand’s largest-ever eight-passenger SUV remains in development. Dealers will gain a larger option above the seven-passenger MDX once it arrives.
- A new V6 hybrid powertrain is in development for D-segment models, targeting stronger performance, improved towing capability and greater efficiency. Dealers should expect broader hybrid choices in larger models.
Acura has shared its future product roadmap with U.S. dealers, outlining three new SUVs that will enter segments where the brand is not currently represented, attract new customers and strengthen long-term loyalty.
American Honda President and CEO Eiji Fujimura said the company is investing in customer-focused products, offering premium value and increasing speed to market to keep Acura competitive.
The first of the new models, an adventure-ready SUV, will arrive in the first part of 2028 and will target buyers who want outdoor capability, premium styling, comfort and advanced technology. Acura is also developing its largest SUV ever, an eight-passenger model positioned above the seven-passenger MDX, to meet demand for larger premium family vehicles. Rounding out the trio, the all-new, fourth-generation RDX Hybrid will arrive in 2028 as the first Acura to use the company’s two-motor hybrid-electric system. The RDX Hybrid will join the new SUVs as Acura courts customers at different life stages.
For its larger models, Acura is developing a V6 hybrid for its D-segment vehicles to deliver sportier performance, stronger towing capability, and greater efficiency. American Honda Vice President of Auto Strategy Gary Robinson said the expanded lineup will let Acura enter the most popular segments while maintaining a leading position in gateway segments with the Integra and ADX.
Acura sales growth
According to the company, Acura sales rose 4.4% year over year during the first nine months of 2026, led by MDX growth of more than 25%. The company also said the ADX and Integra led their respective segments in retail sales. All three models will receive meaningful enhancements for the 2027 model year.
Acura National Sales Assistant Vice President Jessika Laudermilk said the ADX and Integra continue to bring new buyers to the brand while retaining loyal customers, especially as affordability matters more than ever.
Ultimately, Acura’s 2026 U.S. lineup includes the Integra, ADX, RDX and MDX. The planned additions will expand the brand’s coverage of premium SUV segments and introduce hybrid options. According to the company, about 85% of Acura vehicles sold in the U.S. in 2025 were made in America with a mix of domestic and globally sourced parts.
