The Japanese automaker Toyota has officially revealed the new and improved 2025 Toyota 4Runner, which marks the launch of an entirely new sixth generation of the popular off-road SUV. The latest generation of the 4Runner comes with new trim levels, a new style, new technology, and new turbocharged engine options, including a hybrid.

The 2025 Toyota 4Runner is a powerhouse driven by the i-FORCE, a turbocharged 2.4L four-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. And for those who desire even more power, the optional i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain is available, boosting the output to a staggering 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. With the versatile TNGA-F platform and a redesigned frame, this hybrid powertrain enables a towing capacity of up to 6,000 pounds. Moreover, the 4Runner instills confidence in any terrain, whether you prefer agility or the robustness of part-time drivetrain solutions.

The Trailhunter trim level, available on the 2025 4Runner, caters mainly to Overlanding enthusiasts. It comes with integrated off-road equipment from manufacturers such as ARB, Old Man Emu, and Rigid Industries. The Trailhunter also has pre-wired auxiliary switches, a heritage-style grille with a bronze Toyota insignia, 33-inch Toyo Open Country A/T tires, 2.5-inch forged shocks with external piggyback remote reservoirs, and high-strength steel skid plates.

For those who crave the ultimate in luxury and comfort, the 2025 4Runner presents the Platinum, a new range-topping trim level. The Platinum is a testament to Toyota’s commitment to your comfort and convenience, offering advanced technology and comfort features to make every journey a pampering experience. The Platinum elevates your driving experience with its towing capabilities, head-up display, black exterior, and heated second row.
