2024 Cadillac Lyriq introduces base trim with lower price and fewer features

The Tech version does without a number of luxuries

2024 Cadillac Lyriq

As reported by GM authority, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq EV will have a revamped entry-level trim. The Lyriq initially had a relatively high price, but it wasn’t significantly more expensive than many competing electric crossovers.

However, with a lower cost trim option of $57,195, the Lyriq become marginally more accessible. Although the entry-level “tech RWD” version has fewer features and options for 2024, the luxury and sport trim have expanded equipment.

For instance, the Tech version does without a number of luxuries, including a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, a back camera mirror, ambient cabin lighting, a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, and more.

On the other hand, Ford, one of the Model Y’s main competitors, has already lowered the price of its Mustang Mach-E, but the price reductions aren’t as significant as Tesla’s. Now it seems that GM will do the same with the Lyriq, which competes with the Model Y and Mustang Mach-E, but only by adding one less expensive trim level and removing amenities from the vehicle.

Although it is an option, buyers who choose the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq tech RWD will not receive the Driving Assist Package that was formerly standard. According to GM Authority, the company will provide adaptive headlights for the 2018 model year, but only on higher-end models.
