Visitors to the Detroit Auto Show this week will get the chance to see the updated version of Ford Motor Company’s 2023 Lincoln Corsair. On Monday, the company revealed the revamped luxury vehicle—a compact luxury crossover that has been around since the model year 2020 and is the best-selling vehicle in Lincoln’s line-up.
“Corsair plays an important role in our portfolio – artistically crafted and expertly designed to attract younger Lincoln clients and give them the luxury experience they desire,” read a statement from Lincoln’s North America director, Michael Sprague. “We want the drive experience to be even more effortless and personal, and the new Corsair will deliver that with advanced technology and new features.”
The updated 2023 version includes the ActiveGlide 1.2 hands-free advanced driver assistance system as an available feature. The Lincoln Corsair will feature four new advanced driver assistance systems, including lane change assist, in-lane repositioning, predictive speed assist, and intersection assist 2.0. The updated model will also debut a blind spot assist feature.
Ford has gone all out for the interior, including new options for infotainment, luxury, and customer comfort. An optional auto air refresh delivers fresh air into the cabin. A 13.2-inch center stack screen features Ford’s SYNC 4 infotainment system, capable of receiving software updates. Alexa Built-in hands-free comes complimentary with three years of connectivity. New interior themes are also available, including “smoked truffle” and “eternal red.”
As for the exterior, the updated Lincoln Corsair has a more prominent grille, wing-shaped daytime running lamps, and new wheel options for the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring. Two new exterior colors are also available, including “crystal red” and “whisper blue.”
Kemal Curic, Lincoln’s Global Design Director, said the updated model is “a glimpse into Lincoln’s new exterior design language.”
