Hailing from Duluth, Minnesota, Kyle McKinzie serves as the Managing Partner of Kruse Motors Auto Group in Marshall, Minnesota. McKinzie’s roots in the auto industry stem from his first jobs in which he mowed lawns and detailed cars. He later moved on to the sales floor and subsequently held a number of sales and marketing roles at Dealer Teamwork, a SaaS company creating patented, first-class digital marketing solutions for retail automotive.
McKinzie is not only a skilled professional but also a highly educated individual as he received a Bachelor’s Degree focused in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management. Over the past decade, he has worked diligently to become proficient in sales, business planning, growth, automobiles, and negotiation strategy.
Three years after taking the helm at Kruse Motors, McKinzie reached an achievement that had never been awarded to the store before when he won the Lincoln Motor Company’s President’s Award. He says his proudest moment of his career thus far, however, was “growing an employee from Detailer to Sales Manager in 4 years with the firm.” Hard work and success are critical for him, as his favorite quote is “well done is better than well said.”
McKinzie’s goals are grounded in ambition and a strong commitment to growth. When he’s not working to fulfill his vision of growing his group from three stores to 12 stores in the next 20 years, he likes to golf, snowboard, and explore the world of culinary delights as a “food connoisseur.”
