FCA Chrysler CEO asked “How much is NAFTA going to hit customers?”
What eventually happens with NAFTA discussions might not directly impact your dealership, but it probably will indirectly. Talks continue this week, but last week, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne was asked this by CNBC. According to CNBC, current NAFTA rules require just over 60% of a vehicle’s manufacturing to be done in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada to avoid tariffs. The Trump Administration has said it wants to raise that to 85% and wants 50% of that to come from the U.S. Watch Now
